Thank you for conveying this sad news so that we may all remember
and reflect on the exceptional legacy Harriet left to the Society.
Except for possibly William G. Bill Haynes ( a
founder) Harriet Roberson had the most far-reaching and significant
influence on supporting the Society, promoting its mission and,
through her many years as Secretary, documenting its history. She
was an amazing lady and a longtime and steadfast friend to me
personally. RIP Harriet. You have lived a long and productive life
and set a fine example for all of us who love coastal history to
